Summer Momentum

Make June A “No Quiet Nights” Month

June can get noisy for families: sports, vacations, camps, graduations, cookouts, and last-minute weeknight plans. That is exactly why stores need to stay visible. Customers may not be thinking about pizza until the moment dinner becomes inconvenient. The goal this month is simple: remind people that Pizza World solves dinner fast. Use posts, emails, counter cards, and direct mail to push family meals, party orders, app ordering, and easy pickup. Do not wait for slow nights to start marketing. Build the reminder before the slow night happens.

Delivery

Heads Up

We have been tracking the trends, and the restaurants using DoorDash Drive as their full-time delivery solution are hurting. DoorDash Drive can be useful as a fill-in option, but it should not replace your in-house delivery team. In-house drivers give you control. You know when the order leaves the store, whether the driver is going straight to the customer, and how the customer is treated at the door. When DoorDash becomes the primary delivery source, you lose visibility into the final handoff: you do not know exactly when the food gets to the house, whether the driver made other stops, or whether they were polite when handing the order to your customer. Use DoorDash Drive for fill-in orders when needed, especially during slower windows between 1 PM and 4 PM. But for your core delivery business, in-house drivers are still the better long-term play because they protect service, timing, food quality, and the customer relationship.

Google Ads

Capture Hungry Customers When They Are Searching

Google Ads are different from regular social posts because they show up when someone is already searching for food. If a customer types something like “pizza near me,” “delivery near me,” or “best pizza in town,” they are not just scrolling — they are hungry and making a decision. That is why even a small amount per day can matter. A simple Google Ads budget can help put Pizza World in front of customers who may have been about to eat somewhere else. The ad gives them a quick path to call, get directions, or order online at the exact moment they are choosing dinner. The goal is not to spend a huge amount. The goal is to stay visible when local customers are actively looking. If a store can capture even a few extra hungry customers each week, those orders can turn into repeat visits, app users, loyalty members, and future delivery or pickup customers. Online Ordering

Calories Are Now Listed Online

We now have calorie information listed on our items on the online ordering website. Customers can see calories while they are browsing the menu, including items like wings, appetizers, and other categories. This is a good customer-facing update because it gives guests more information before they order. Some customers are watching calories, some are comparing options, and some just want to feel confident that Pizza World is giving them clear menu information. Having calories visible online makes the ordering experience more professional and transparent. Store teams should know this is available so they can point customers to the online ordering menu when questions come up. If a guest asks about calories or wants more detail before ordering, send them to the online menu so they can review the item information directly.

FoodTec / POS Tip

Use Customer Lists To Bring People Back

Before sending a broad offer, look at FoodTec customer activity. A smarter target is often better than a bigger blast. Pull customers who have ordered before but have not ordered recently, then send a simple comeback message. Example angle: “We miss you — make dinner easy this week with Pizza World.” The point is to use the data already sitting in the POS. Customers who already know Pizza World are usually easier to bring back than brand-new customers are to acquire. Here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcp8EWf0cBA

Store Experience

Make Pickup Match The Marketing Promise

Marketing gets the order, but the store experience earns the next one. This month, inspect the basics: phones answered clearly, pickup shelves organized, orders double-checked, boxes clean, team members greeting customers, and wait times communicated honestly. If a customer orders because a post or coupon worked, the store still has to make that customer feel good about choosing Pizza World. A smooth pickup experience turns one promotion into repeat business.
